Article: “A Living Sacrifice”
The paragraphs below are taken from an article I read this morning that has quite simply, MADE MY DAY!!! After the excerpt below, is a link to the article itself.
“Paul’s words sprang to my mind, words that had burned into me years before at the start of my fourth pregnancy, when I was wondering how I would ever manage another baby.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).
Present your body as a living sacrifice. Sacrifice: the word comes from the Latin sancire, meaning to make sacred. That’s exactly what I was doing: offering my very flesh and blood to God, to meet his purposes, to fulfill the desires for children he had planted within me.”

Dear Rachel,
I LOVE your site! I immediately sent the link for it to all the wonderful moms I know.
I don’t think I knew you were LDS! How awesome is that!
Take care,

Rachel,
I loved this article so much. I saved a copy of it after reading it when it came out. Just last weekend my little sis and I were having a conversation about this very thing, and I thought of it. Only I couldn’t remember where I’d read it, thinking it was in the Ensign. Thankfully after reading the last 7 issues of the Ensign my faulty memory kicked in and I found it. I’m going to give her a copy. She is going through in vitro for the 2nd time(1st time unseccessfully) and is really making tremendous sacrifices with her body in the hopes of having a child. I want her to know it’s worth it.
